Beat 4
Looking up Legg Meadow Beat.
The Legg Meadow is the top beat, approximately 450 yards of deep to very deep water. This is really boat and spinning water but it can be fished from the bank, casting to the far side. This is a superb summer holding stretch. Don Macer-Wright lost a large salmon on this beat in late spring 2006, due to the bale arm of his reel falling apart!
Looking towards the upper boat water.
There is a further 350 yards upstream which is boat fishing water only. It has not been fished for many years but has undoubted potential for holding heavy salmon.
