Coarse Fishing

The coarse fishing on the Courtfield stretch has now been let to the Forest of Dean Angling Club. Season tickets are £21, day tickets £6. Both available from Wye Fishing Tackle Shop in Ross on Wye.

Fishing on the Wyebank stretch is available by telephone booking only.

Rules and Conditions for Coarse fishing

Ashley Meek with 36lb Pike caught top end of Legg Meadow in 2005 a well known big pike water- regarded as one of the largest pike caught in recent years in UK rivers.

Glynn Weeks with a typical large bag of small chub and dace from the strem mouth at the Tump. This is by far and away the most productive fishing spot when the levels are right. On 15th March Glynn had over 100lb weight, while on 26th September he had 60lb+ including a 10lb barbel which took 25minutes to land in the fast water of the shallows beyond the stream mouth.
