Coarse Fishing - Rules and Regulations for Members.

• This is a club in name only, set up for residents of the Forest of Dean Area. To fish for all fish and eels except Salmon and Trout.
• Between the Tump Brook, Lower Lydbrook, and the Severn Trent Pumping Station, top end of the Legg Meadow, on the River Wye. The fishing does not include the frontage to the property at Waterscross, Vention Lane, called “The Fishing Lodge” or “Craig Yr Heul”. Season dependant (see map)
• No fishing between 15th March and 1st May.
• No Coarse fishing between 15th March and 16th June
• Coarse/ other fishermen must give way to Salmon Fishermen
• All Environment Agency regulations and bylaws must be adhered to, including:
• Current Rod Licence must be carried at all times
• Any restrictions on use of bait and/or fishing methods must be adhered to.
• Excludes fly fishing for trout.
• All fish, except Shad and eels, must be returned unharmed to the water.
• The membership Permit entitles 1 (one) adult to fish the Courtfield Fishery, with up to 2 (two) rods, with or without 1(one) child under the age of 12
• Full membership (anyone over the age of 16) - £25 /season
• Junior Membership (12 - 16 year olds) - £10 / season
• Refunds can only be given within 7 days of the commencement of membership.
• All children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a full membership Permit holder.
• Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times while on the fishery
• Take all litter home with you
• Permit holders are responsible for their own safety
• Any areas of the river bank where management work is ongoing should be avoided
• Care and Attention must be shown at all times, particularly when the banks are wet after rain or flood
• Enter the river at your own risk.
• Please keep to properly maintained areas of river bank and be aware that bank erosion is constant and bank maintenance work is ongoing.
• Permit holders indemnify the tenant and the owners of the Courtfield Fishery and Estate against any claims arising from accidents, personal injury and loss.
• The Courtfield Fishing Club is a club by name only and may be discontinued at the end of any fishing year (15th March)
• Any infringement of rules or regulations, from the E.A or C.F.C., may lead to immediate expulsion from the Club with no refund given.
